Sponsor

I'm so excited to announce that I have now ventured into the world of sponsorship.  This is an incredibly huge step for me and I have to admit that it is, just a bit, frightening.  To grow you have to invest; right?  My blog is still considered very small but I have had the privilege to see growth over the past few months.  I have even been pinned.  Read about that here.

If you are looking for a great place to gain exposure or promote your blog or business I would love the opportunity to work with you.  All pricing and ad spots can be found under the sponsor tab on the home page.

Grab your spot today!

Travs Game

Before I get rolling today please pray for the residents of the Central Arkansas area.  Last night we were devastated by fierce storms and tornadoes.  Many families lost their homes, many were injured, and some lost lives.

All my life I have lived in Arkansas.  I've done almost every Arkansas native musts.  I love razorback games, I've climbed Pinnacle Mountain, and with summer around the corner you just can not forget about the hometown festivals.  To say I've frequented festivals is an understatement.

However, in my twenty five years, I have never been to an Arkansas Travelers game.  That is... until this past Friday.  B's company hosted an employee night during this past weekends series.  To say I was a tad bit excited just does not do it justice.  I literally looked forward to this all week; mainly because I wanted a hot dog!

We had an absolute blast!

If you are a Natural State native or just passing through a Travs game is a definite fun and family friendly experience (and budget friendly).

High Five for Friday

1|  Spring has officially found it's way to the Natural State.  Temperatures have been in the mid to high seventies everyday this week!

2| I completely dominated the laundry and house cleaning on Monday... snaps for Molly.

3|  I found a fabulous new rug for our kitchen.  A good runner is so hard to find; especially for a good price.  Thanks Home Goods.

4| Tonight B and I are getting to go to a Travelers game for a date night.  Well, sort of a date night.  B's company is hosting an employee night at the game so we got the tickets for free.  We love free and nights out with friends.

5|  A few nights ago I found the most amazing things on pinterest.  If you follow my instagram or twitter feed you may already have a clue as to what I'm referring.  If your not following me then jump on it buddy.  Scrolling quickly through my feed I come across a photo and give it a quick glance but have to do a double take.  It was my bedroom!!  Someone actually read my blog and pinned one of the photos from my home tour series.  I seriously almost peed my pants; B was even excited!

Home Tour: Master Bedroom

Over the past few weeks I have toured you through different rooms of our home.  You have visited the living room, the dining room, and today we are ending the tour (for now) with the master bedroom.

Soon I will hopefully preview B's man room and our guest bedroom.  I have not included the bathrooms in the tour but check out our major master bath redo here.

How We Met

In just three short months from today B and I will celebrating our two year anniversary.  I have no idea where those two years have gone.  Time needs to slow down just a bit.  It was even a bigger shock when B and I started thinking about our first date anniversary and how long ago that had been.  I decided that it was finally time for y'all to know how we met, dated, and fell in love.

It all began 5 years ago.  Looking back I'm sure glad that I was apparently motivated that morning and fixed my hair and put on makeup.  I was in my junior year of college, had just quit cheering, and for the longest span of time in my life, I was single.

Ironically, just one month prior to this day I had talked with my mom and told her I was so ready to leave OBU.  I told her that there was no one there for me and I was just ready to move on in life.  Little did I know that in mid September, a simple trip to the cafeteria would change my life.

Like I said before, thank goodness I decided to wear makeup that day or things may have turned out differently.  It was during lunch, as I was walking with my tray to the table to sit with my friends.  A guy I knew, who was in the same social club as B, called me over to their table.  All the Betas sat together in the same area for lunch.  Anyways, I was called over because I was being solicited to buy donuts.  Selling Krispee Kreme donuts is a bug fundraiser for their social club every year.  Well, I politely declined the offer to purchase only to be given a guilt trip by this handsome blonde.  I had seen him around campus and knew he was a Beta but I had no idea what his name was.  I left their table and went on to eat my lunch, truly not giving the conversation anymore thought.  Little did I know that after I walked away from their table the handsome blonde turned to Taylor, the guy I knew, and told him that he was going to marry me one day.

Later that evening I was sitting in the living room of my dorm room watching TV and scoping out facebook.  All of a sudden an IM pops up on my screen and I see the face of the handsome blonde. IM was the new thing on facebook and super popular at the time. I was truly shocked and flattered; now I had his name, although I couldn't pronounce his last name.  We chatted back and forth for a long time and I was beginning to think he would never ask for my number but thankfully facebook IM started experiencing some technical difficulties.  He finally asked for my number and literally sat up all night texting back and forth.  It's so funny when we talk about how we met.  Poor B was so nervous that with every message I would send to him he would immediately turn and ask his room mates what he should say.

B truly wasted no time in pursuing  me.  The very next evening he asked me to go out for some coffee. Let me just preface that at this time in my life I had not had a coke in 6 months.  I know that is not that long but for me it was.  I was competing to qualify for my second year in Miss Arkansas and had cut all unneeded sugar.  So that evening, when he asked what I would like to drink, I said "a coke please".  Why in the world would I say that?  Oh, I remember!  I did not want him to think I was someone who was obsessed with my image and I was afraid that by asking for a water he might think that.  Wow Molly.  Well, in hindsight I know now that I should've asked for a water.  I was sick as a dog from drinking even half the coke and spent the night not talking much because I was choking down vomit.  We laugh about it now.  A few days later while swinging at the park (these are some of my favorite memories) B asked me out to dinner for our first official date.

And so began our dating relationship.

Home Tour: Dining Room

Welcome back to our home!  I was so excited to invite y'all into our living room last week.  Today I'm showing off our dining room.  There is not a lot to see but the dining room holds some of my most treasured pieces.

All of the crosses I found and bought at hobby lobby.  Don't y'all just LOVE their 50% off sales?! The plates and saucers, hanging on the wall, are antique family heirlooms.  It truly makes a home so much more precious to me when you add family treasures.  The little silver tea set and tray were given to me by my parents when I was a little girl.  The crystal glasses and pitcher (in the middle) were awarded to me when I was voted the 2010 Miss Congeniality of the Miss Arkansas pageant.  Read about my pageant years here.  Lastly, the small crystal cream and sugar (on the right) was given to me, as a wedding gift, by a sweet lady from her own personal family collection.
This antique buffet was the steal of the century.  My mom stumbled on it in a small little shop just North of Conway.  $200 was the going price for this solid wood lovely.

This hutch actually sits in our kitchen.  However, I've decided, for the moment, that I won't be including the kitchen in the tour of our home.  Simply because it still requires just a tad bit more work.  I did want to show this piece off though.  I refinished it last summer and the yellow truly adds a great contrast and pop of color to the area.  As you can see It still needs some new hardware.

Be looking for the tour of our bedroom in a few days.

Can I Get a High Five

It's finally Friday so y'all get ready to roll!  This week is over and I can now sleep in and go on a couch bender.  Couch Bender: see definition here.

1|  This week started out with a very climatic and saddening event.  The finale of How I Met Your Mother.  I still have not watched yet so don't tell me any details.  I'm boycotting for now because I refuse to believe that this part of my life is truly over.  I will admit that there are times when I struggle to separate reality from this show.  Wow Y'all.... that's embarrassing.  Prime example, the other day at work, one of my co-workers mentioned something about Carrie Underwood and how she married a hockey player, she's American, does she know anything about hockey... etc. blah blah la di da.  Well,  all of a sudden I throw in my two scents and tell everyone that I know someone who is Canadian and LOVES hockey.  WHAT?!  Super embarrassing having to explain that one.

2|  Spring break is over, praise the Lord!  I seriously NEVER, in my wildest dreams, would have thought those words would ever enter the repertoire that is my vocabulary; let's just say that last week was not the best at work.  I'm so thankful that this past week was much more calm and back to normal.

3|  It is officially spring and tornado season is here in the great Natural State.  Hunker down Dorothy, grab Toto and Auntie Em and prepare for high winds.  Although, with the bad comes great times for crafts.  Check out some of my Easter crafts here and here.

4|  If you follow me on instagram, then you already know that yesterday I found some fabulous spring colored lipsticks.  If you don't follow me, one you should go right now and change that and two now you know that yesterday I found some great spring colored lipsticks.  Right now I'm really loving the Revlon color burst matte colors.  The lipstick itself is comparable to Clinique's chubby stick.  It's super easy to apply and goes on smooth.  Can't wait to show these new pretties off!

5|  Today I am going home for the first time since Christmas! Home, aka my parents house.  Although Logan and I have a separate home since we've gotten married, it would be weird if we didn't, I still refer to my parents as home.  I'm super excited about sleeping in my bed again.

Hope y'all had a fabulous week and here's wishing y'all a wonderful weekend!

I was Once... Kind of Cool

Today I'm going to give y'all a little bit of an insight on my life or how my life once was.  So far, in my life, I have worn many hats.  Second baseman, point guard, pageant queen, dental professional.  There is one, among those not mentioned, that consumed nearly 10 years of my life.

I was a college cheerleader.  Yes it is true and yes I thought and still think that it's cool.

During those years I had the time of my life and was in the BEST shape of my life (very serious about this one).

I could throw some mean tumbling passes and absolutely loved the rush of getting to fly high.  Don't ever accuse this girl of having trust issues.... exhibit A below.

Cheerleading has taken me to some pretty amazing places in my life.  New York for the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade,  London for the London New Year's Day parade, and Walt Disney's Wild World of Sports.  I would never have gotten these opportunities without cheerleading.  Hence, cheerleading is pretty amazing.... Yeah hence!
Check out that cutie on the top right

I'm still a nut for spirit fingers, pom poms, and coordinated eight count routines but I'm now a veteran.
I am a has been, who was cool at one time, and a few pounds lighter... but I can still throw a pretty mean back handspring.

Home Tour: Living room

Welcome to our home!  I've been wanting to write this post for some time now but just never felt like I could get the photos "just right".  As you can see I have FINALLY come to terms with the fact that nothing will ever be perfect.

I absolutely love our home though and am so super excited to show it off.  Someday I will do a post with before and after photos.  You can truly not imagine the difference that a little bit of paint can make.  Just to attempt to put it into perspective... All the walls were previously peach.... Woof!

I love having a mantle to decorate.  I used my cricut to create this "Hippity Hoppity" banner for Easter.

The turquoise frames are one of my new favorite lovelies that I've added.  The four frames really helped to balance the wall with the large photo and I just adore the pop of color that it added to the room.

Since these photos I have added some new accent pillows to the couch.  I seriously have a pillow illness.  I just can not stop buying them.  Check out my instagram to see these new pretty pillows.

Can't wait for y'all to take the rest of the tour in a few days!
