Well I missed last week... I know I know shame on me.

I'm so excited though to update y'all on my goals for this month and how everything is going.
Here are the goals I set this month.

As I started reading Power of a Praying Wife I realized the first chapter was already going to smack me in the face... real hard.
Ok so I'm being a tad dramatic but the first chapter is titled His Wife.... Yea you guessed it.  All of it's focus is on me.
I thought the book was going to be all about him and how to pray for him.  For God to change his heart, for God to protect him, for God to inspire him, for God to provide.
To teach me how to build him up.
WRONG.

The first chapter is about changing yourself!
But why do I need to change?
I feel like I'm a good person right?

Well.... Stormie makes the point, and how incredibly right she is, that how can I affectively pray for my husband and expect to see the answers to those prayers if I, myself, am not right in my relationship with Christ.
"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear"
Psalm 66:18
"God wants our hearts to be right so the answers to our prayers are not compromised"
Stormie Omartian

This not only applies to praying for my husband but also in every aspect of my life!!

So.... theres my update y'all.
As twisted and tangled as my original goal has become I truly believe that God is blessing me already!!

Oh and by the way a HUGE answer to a ton of prayers.... Logan has got a job!!!!!
And her LOVES it!!
Praise God for His answers and blessings!!
 Marriage & Relationship Goals

Marriage and Relationship Goals Link-up Mission Statement: Monthly Marriage and Relationship Goals are simple goals that we, as wives or girlfriends, can personally make each month in order to strive for the very best in our relationships without ever growing complacent in serving our significant other. Overall, the link-up portion of this series will serve to facilitate accountability as women join together to share encouragement and inspirational motivation for completing challenges each month by beginning with broad goals and working through each week creating more specific goals. At the end of the month, we will summarize what was accomplished, the successes we've had and what we could have done better. We would love for you to link up with us and share your posts each week as we strive in different ways to serve our significant other with more intentionality and purpose.

Football Fashion

School is starting again which only means one thing here in Arkansas..... Football season in right around the corner.

If your not from the South and don't comprehend what I'm saying... Well then bless your poor little heart!!
Let me educate you!!

All the football movies you've ever seen tell the durn truth.... down here football is a way of life!
Small towns revolve around their local high schools and the football team is at the heart of the school and here in the Natural State our entire state revolves around one university and one team
The Razorbacks!

Every true Southerner knows that a football game and tailgating is a more than adequate reason to get all gussied up!!

Here a a few of my favorite fashion picks for this upcoming season
I absolutely LOVE these chevron pants and the red chevron jumper!
(I have a slight pattern addiction)
This sweater paired with red pants is also an obsession!! This would be awesome for evening games... especially when the weather begins to get cooler!

What I really love about these picks is they are not only great for game day but they are versatile and can be worn for any occasion.
Don't get me wrong now!  I love all of my "Woo Pig" and "Hog" wear and anything with a razorback logo.... and I do own a dress with a razorback decal on it.  However, those items are very occasion specific and I love to wear my clothes to more than just a tailgate.

I love black booties!!! Super comfy and super stylish!
For anyone who knows me.... they know that I have an unhealthy obsession with feathers!!  I also have a hairbow, headpiece, or fascinator for any outfit.  I'm just more comfortable having something on my head y'all!  This razorback red fascinator is sure to get you noticed at a tailgate and could be a great conversation piece! lol
State shaped jewelry is HUGE right now and is a great way to show your spirit!!

Last but not least.... the creme de la creme of you outfit.... the piece de resistance..... the perfect clutch!!
Although trying to send a text in Donald W. Reynolds Stadium on game day is pointless.... trust me you want be getting any service.... you still need a place to carry your most essentials!!

So.... are y'all ready for some football?

Sadly summer is coming to an end and for the first time EVER I am not getting ready to go back to school. WOO HOO
It feels so weird and even though my freedom from school is not coming to an end it's still SO sad to me when summer ends.
B and I have had the best summer though!! We've done so many things off of our to-do list!!
(all highlighted= done and done)

There were some big things on the list that we/I didn't accomplish though..... Like
finish remodeling our house and me finding a job but I mean who can get all that done when your having such a great time making tons of fun memories!!

I have been doing some hygiene working interviews though so thats an effort on the whole getting a job thing!!
In great news of the job hunt though.... B found a job thats right up his alley and I think can only help him in his efforts to get into PT school!! YAY Go baby go!!

As for the other things that were left unfinished... theres always fall right?
Now, time to quit sulking over summer coming to an end and start looking forward to Fall!!

Hey Y'all!!!
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Here's the rundown for my weeks High Five for Friday
This week marked the premiere of the new Duck Dynasty season!!
Life is complete again!

These little babies are my motivation to get out and hit the road!
They are amazingly comfortable too.  Since most of you have never seen my feet, praise God, I have a ton of trouble finding comfortable tennis shoes.  My feet pronate something awful and I always have to get inserts to help give me some arch.  These are feeling great so far.... but they haven't actually "hit" the road yet! lol
Maybe next week?

But those new shoes have been to Petsmart with this little cutie, Tippy Tutu!!
We went this week to pick up some new bones but sweet baby was NOT loving the store for some reason.  She did not even want to get down and walk.  So... of course Mommy carried her the entire time!  We even looked at some Halloween costumes for her first Halloween with us.
What do you think she should be?

AHHH!!!! This was the find of the month!!!
I absolutely fell in love when I saw it and knew it would look great in this little nook of our living room!!
Our house is FINALLY starting to resemble something of a home!

But here is the BEST news of the week.... I actually just heard this news a few minutes ago!!
My brother and his precious fiancée have finally set a date!!
Hurry up Erin Condren and get those new planners out!! I need to put a sticker on this date!!

I'm linking up with Lauren Elizabeth today!

Y'all enjoy this Friday and have a Fab weekend!!

That Time I Met My Favorite

So,  I completely missed doing this post on Monday but anywho... now that life has slowed down for a minute here we go!

This past weekend my parents took B and I to Hope for the Watermelon Festival.
My Dad got to see and visit with some of his good friends.... but the real reason for the visit...
TRACY LAWRENCE!!!!!

He's one of my all time favorite artist!!!

I met him about 4 years ago and got his autograph and a picture with him.
But I really wanted to meet him again to get the picture signed!

My daddy made a few calls to a friend and let me just say..... He's got the best friends!!!
His friend pulled through!!
AHHHHH!!!!!!!

I was only slightly excited to meet him again.... AND my picture is now signed!!! WOO HOO

My Daddy got us reserved seating tickets but the seats in that area were still first come first serve.... Once the gate opened B was the first through.  Y'all he took off running toward the reserved area and guess what?!!  FRONT AND CENTER for this fam!!!
I've got a pretty amazing Daddy and Hubby.... and the photo dump that is about to happen is compliments of my AMAZING Momma (I took some)!!

SNAPS for my amazing family!!!!

SO amazing to be SOO close!!

Spoiler Alert: B got 2 of those pretty picks that Tracy played with
Yes we are on a first name basis now... I mean we've met twice now!

Note that grinning fan in the lower left corner asTracy shakes her hand... THAT'S ME!!!
Way to go Mom!!!!

It was truly an AMAZING concert!

Marriage and Relationship Goals: August

This is my very first month to be linking up with Amberly and Kalyn for Augusts edition of Marriage and Relationship goals.
This link up each Tuesday, for me, will hold me accountable to strive each day to keep my goals for my marriage at the top of my to do list.

As I've been thinking about the goals that I want to focus on this month in mine and B's marriage I keep thinking about all of the circumstances that God has used these past few weeks to burden my heart.
Am I the best wife I can be everyday?
Do I build B up the way he needs to be?
Do I lift my husband up to God constantly?

The answer to all of these is no.
I am not perfect and I fall short of God's glory constantly.

But just because I am human does not mean that I can't strive to be this wife everyday.  I know that I can not be everything to B that he needs.  Only God can be our everything and fill our voids.  However, God chose me for B and entrusted me to be his helpmate.

This month I want to be intentional about lifting B up and praying for him.

This is one Lady who has it going on!!
This month I will be reading this book to help me.

The power of pray is truly amazing and I'm beyond excited to see the changes God will make in both mine and my husband's life.

The Vintage Modern Wife: Happies and Crappies Link Up
Hey Y'all!!!
Welcome back to me!!  This job hunting/house remodeling is taking up a lot more time than I ever imagined.  In my sweet naive fashion I kind of thought I would have a job by now.
Let's just say that that "real world" all those adults told me about, while I was in high school and college (that I never thought REALLY existed).... well guys I met it and it WAY LAYED me right smack in the face!! lol
ANYWHO...... I so excited to be linking up my very first happies and crappies!!! Be sure to check out Stephanie and Sarah
Happies

I received the email from the board of dental examiners telling me I have been approved for my license!!

B had two interviews this past week and was called back today for a working interview on Monday!!

I've finally found time to blog!

Crappies

Still no job for me yet.

I had to turn down a dental hygiene temp job this week because my license had not come in yet

I'm convinced wall paper is the spawn of Satan

Walls and trim do not paint themselves!

Y'all have a fabulous weekend!!
