#HelloKeurig

* I received the following product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster.

I want all of you to meet my new A.M. best friend.  I received this little beauty a few weeks ago and B and I are both loving it so far.  A small word of advice check your email when that cute little red dot pops up on your phone.

I apparently chose to ignore that dot.  So, when Mr. FedEx himself showed up at my door on Friday to make his delivery at 10:00 AM (keep in mind I'm off on Fridays) I just happened to still be adorning my pajamas, robe, and no bra.  I had no clue who was adamantly ringing my doorbell so I bravely hid behind the bar in my kitchen.  All of these events led to me trying to track down a random package and fighting with FedEx only to find out that the package would have to be held at one of their stores for me to pickup the following Tuesday.

Finally the following Tuesday I got to bring home this sweet little brown box.

I received the Keurig 2.0 K200 along with 2 variety packages of coffee and tea and a bottle of cleaning solution.  The brewer preheats quickly and brews an amazing cup of coffee.  This is my go to favorite friend in the mornings seeing as how I am hardly the brightest ray of sunshine in the morning.

It even comes with the most amazing safety features to protect you in the wee hours when your still hazy eyed with fumble fingers.

So cheers to all you coffee lovers! Hope you are enjoying your cup this morning as much as I am.

Summertime is one of my favorite things about the south.  Lemonade stands in the neighborhood, fried green tomatoes, and the smell of sweet honeysuckle on the breeze.  The longer days also give me more time to research and plan mine and B's next travel destination.

We LOVE to travel and dream about where we will go someday.  Last year we took a wonderful trip to St. Louis for our anniversary.  Let me tell you... If you are looking for a fun city, full of great atmosphere, yummy food, and tons of FREE stuff to do then plan a trip to St. Louie!

Grant's Farm and the Anheuser-Busch plant were two of our favorite visits and both are free!  Grant's farm was once owned by General Grant and his cabin still sits on the grounds.  You can tour the grounds and end your visit at a precious petting zoo.  The Anheuser-Busch factory was over the top immaculate.  Seriously, I think I could've eaten off the floors.  We did pay for a tour rather than opting for the free tour.  With our tour we were able to see a little more of the plant and got the luxury of being in a smaller group.

Our cardinals tickets were our biggest purchase of the trip and they were a steal!  When I tell you I have the worst luck... you better believe me I have THE worst luck.  Except for my mom; her luck is probably worst than mine.  Probably something genetic I'm sure.  Ok, I'm back from chasing rabbits now.  We went the day of a Saturday home game to reserve a tour of the stadium.  We were crushed when we found out that not only the tours were full for the day but that it was also a sold out game.  Worst luck ever right?  Well, lucky for me (see what I did there) I married the luckiest, most smooth talking man.  Just as we were inquiring about tickets a sweet couple, who had season tickets, were trading their seats to sit in a handicap accessible area.   The precious lady tapped me on the shoulder and told me the section number along with the seat numbers.  It took a few moments but we did end up with the wonderful seats.

I've just barely scratched the surface of all the fantabulous things that St. Louis has to offer but I will end with the ever so iconic Gateway Arch.  This is not a free attraction but it is incredibly reasonable and the view of the city from 630 feet is completely worth the 4 minute trip to the top.

While you are there you should also check out:

  • The St. Louis zoo.  The zoo is also a free attraction in the city and was wonderful.  The parking was expensive but we parked on the street (everyone else was doing it).
  • The science museum is also a free attraction and a fun place for families
  • The city Museum.  B and I opted not to do this simply because it was so crowded but I really wish we would've made the time to go during the adults only hours.

I hope y'all get to do some great traveling this summer.  I'd love for you too keep up with my ramblings through my blog and social media.

But first... Let's let B take/show off a few selfies!

Before our next trip we will definitely be investing in a selfie stick.

Stuffed Pizza Subs

This dish is one of my absolute favorite, go to, easy meals.  Seriously, in less than 30 minutes you can have a fun dinner that is sure to please even the pickiest eater in your house.  Just ask my brother... the man who won't even eat french fries.  This is one of his favorites and just happens to be the recipe I chose to give to his new wife at her bridal shower.

Here is what you'll need to get you started.
  • 1 lb. of lean ground beef (I prefer to use venison)
  • 1 jar of pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (I use frozen... best invention EVER!!)
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper (again frozen.... BAM!)
  • 1/2 pkg. pepperoni (I use turkey pepperoni)
  • 2 cup Mozzarella cheese (I never use all 2 cups)
  • 2 tsp. basil
  • 1tsp. oregano
  • 1 package of hoagie buns
First brown your meat and drain.  Stir in the onion, bell pepper, pepperoni, pizza sauce, and seasonings.  Let all these ingredients simmer for 10 minutes (low to medium heat).

While the meat is simmering begin preheating your oven to 375.  After your simmering is all done your now ready to spoon that sauce pan full of yummy goodness onto your hoagie buns.  Fill each of your hoagies to your portion preference and sprinkle your cheese on top.  This is where I definitely choose not to use 2 cups of cheese.  It just seems like too much.  But if 2 cups of cheese is your thing then totally rock it out.

After adorning your lovely sandwiches with cheese close up you hoagies and wrap each individual sandwich in foil.  Place them on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 15 minutes.

And the cherry on top of this recipe.... It is found in the "freezes beautifully" section of the cookbook!  I'll usually pop 4 of these bad boys in the freezer to grab for quick lunches.

Well that's all there is to it y'all.  Super easy and a crowd pleaser.  Hope y'all enjoy.

3 Years and Feeling Fine

Last week B and I celebrated our third anniversary.  Has it really been three years since I said "I do" to this man?

These past three years have have been incredible and have seriously flown by in a blink.

So, here's to the man who tolerates me,  knows that I require a lot of attention, and who would do anything to make me happy.  Refer to picture at bottom of post.

Thank you, B, for still looking at me the same way you did at our wedding!

He even dresses up so he can be The Beast to my Belle.  Stay tuned for more to come about our Disney Character double personalities.
