I received all of these products complimentary from Influenster for review.  This is my first vlog y'all so forgive my stammering and over use of words.

B saw how I "staged" our home for my vlog before he left for work... Praise God for a man who supports and even encourages my craziness!

Post work pony tail trip to the driving range... Still straight

Day three... hair still straight but it was definitely a bun day due to the wind.

Couch Bender

Every now and then I hit a wall and find myself stuck in that "blah" mood.  I wake up in the morning, take Tippy out, and then we head back to the couch.  This is the beginning of a couch bender kind of day.

10:00 rolls around and I'm still in my pajamas on the couch.  12:45 rolls around and I'm still on the couch and haven't done anything productive.  I wish I could totally blame it on the headache I had today except that my headache did not come until after I had been on the couch for several hours.  Complete bum status has been reached at this point.

Mondays are the complete worst for these to happen.  I don't work on Mondays so today when I get all my errands and chores done.  If the laundry gets put off past Monday then it does not get done until the weekend, which means that I will be completely scrubless for the week and that just can't happen.  So I did get a few (essential) loads of laundry done(by done I mean that I got them from the washer to the dryer) and I FINALLY did put on some clothes that weren't made of flannel.

I did, however, discover "Don't Trust the B in Apt. 23" today.  Yet another reason that the couch bender has been so prolonged today.  After venturing my way through season one and into season two I have realized that life in sitcoms is so much more interesting and the characters have much better clothes.  Krysten Ritter's wardrobe on the show was completely fabulous.  I want to raid Chloe's closet!  I wish I could say exactly what I'm always thinking like she does too.  Censoring out comments from my daily conversations is completely exhausting. Too bad it was cancelled.

So, not only have I embraced my bum status but after B got home from work I even drug him into my sad trench of couch bender destruction.  He has posted up a permanent residence in our over sized recliner for the evening.  It's really just more fun to be a bum with someone else... especially your best friend.

This blog post is about the most I have been inspired all day.  Do y'all ever have these days?

campusbookrentals.com

This is a sponsored post for campusbookrentals.com.  The views expressed are my own and based on the personal opinion that I have formed from statistics and information found on  campusbookrentals.com.  I am receiving monetary compensation for this review.

Since B has started taking a few classes and will hopefully be entering PT school in the fall I am constantly looking for ways to save money.  Tuition is a huge expense but purchasing text books is also a huge cash sucker.  One great way to save money on text books is to simply not buy... Rent them.

A few of the perks to renting instead of buying include:

-Saving 40-90% on bookstore prices
-Free delivery and return shipping
-You can highlight in the text books
-Flexible renting periods

And Campus Book Rentals donates to Operation Smile with every book rental!

Another SUPER neato feature of Campus Book Rentals is their new initiative called RentBack.  This will allow you, the book owner, to rent out your own text books to friends or other students to make you some moolah!  Isn't that great?  This allows you the opportunity to make 2-4x more money than through buyback options.

Check out their website.

High Five for Friday

I'm so excited that it's finally the weekend.  This week has been long, tiring, not so exciting, and then a little exciting. But it's friday  and I'm ready to partay!!

Here are a few of my happies from this week:

1.  I got the opportunity to work an extra day this week.  I'm completely exhausted and my back is sore but it was great.  I'm a sucker for some extra mullah!

2.  Wednesday B got his grade back from his first physics test and he made a 99%!  I've got a baller of a husband.

3.   Every night this week B and I have been in bed before 9.  I know, we are so completely boring but watching the Olympics together is so much better in bed.

4.  The weather has been so gorgeous this week.  Temperatures in the low to mid sixties everyday has meant that I've been spending a lot of time outside and some great QT with the hubs at the driving range.  I can not wait for spring and warm weather!

5. Finally, the exciting part of my week came on Thursday afternoon.  Starting March 21 I will be working three and a half days as a dental hygienist!  Currently i am just working three days so even just adding a half day on Fridays means more help with our budgeting.  I'm truly blessed!

Now let's rock this weekend!

Spring Transitioning

All this gorgeous weather we've had this past weekend has made me so excited for spring and for the new wardrobe that it brings.  Transitioning my wardrobe into spring is ALWAYS very awkward for me though.  Seriously, every year I struggle with the same thing.   I'm cold in the early mornings but by the afternoon its warm.  If I dress in whats comfortable for morning then by the afternoon I'm dripping sweat and it's just not practical to go through two outfits a day.  Does anyone else have this problem?

Here are a few great ideas for a smooth transition.

Layering with a jean jacket or cardigan is great for transitioning from cool mornings to warm afternoons.  Truly staple pieces for every girls closet.

Light colored skinnys.  Sometimes spring days are still too cool for dresses or skirts.  So pair a great pair of skinny jeans with a cute cool top and layer with your jean jacket.

If you know me at all you know that I'm a hat, headband, fascinator, head accessory person.  I absolutely love fun spring/summer hats.  They work great to help manage fussy hair on a breezy spring day.

Peep toes are a perfect shoe for the springs season.  My feet always stay so cold, unless in uggs.  Peep toe pumps are a great way to show off a little polish and still maintain a little warmth.

Grab a fun clutch and some fun jewelry to add a pop of color and your set.

I'm a Little Ashamed

Last summer I confessed one of my guilty pleasures.  Unfortunately it was only a matter of a few weeks after that post that the show was canceled. To say that I was sad devastated was an understatement.  I know it was only a reality show but it was my weekly escape from, true, reality every tuesday night.  Of course when a good thing ends just give it a little time and something better will come along.

Well y'all it's here!  Come February 24th all reality addicts will have another show to quench their cravings.

Former soap star, a wanna be singer, domestic goddess, twins, and a no nonsense executive.  I can already feel the tension.

Weekend Review

Happy Monday Y'all!!  I hope your week is kicking off on the right foot.  This past weekend B and I celebrated our second Valentines day as a married couple.  As I mentioned here, I am not the biggest fan of the "holiday" so I asked B for a "low key" valentines.  Nothing big, no gifts, no expensive flowers (they aren't in the budget), basically no big fuss.

Guess what?  We had a great time not rushing around to make reservations or struggling to decide on plans.  We did celebrate together though.  We took our sweet Tippy Tutu to PetSmart to get a new "friend".  She picked this sweet little pink elephant named, Nancy.

Even though I requested a low key valentines that in no way meant that we weren't going to have dinner.  I mean we have to eat and I was not about to cook.  Disclaimer: Y'all I do cook.... just not this past Friday.  So it was either go out or sandwiches.

So we went out to eat.  We FINALLY found somewhere to eat without a 2 hour wait... Go us!!  Then we went to see The Monuments Men.  Highly recommend it!!
Thankful for self timers

Yesterday the weather was so nice! I think the temperature topped out at around 60!! HEAT WAVE!  We took advantage of the gorgeous day to the fullest.  After church we split our first bucket of golf balls of the season.  We both hit pretty well for not having swung a club in months and of course went "twinks" and both rocked our USA pullovers.

Lastly, did y'all see Meryl Davis' and Charlie White's ice dancing routine?!  OH MY GOODNESS!  I felt so graceful just sitting on my couch watching.  It was so incredibly gorgeous and was set to music from my favorite musical, My Fair Lady.

This video is not from the Sochi Olympics but it is the same routine.

Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Valentines Day Link up

I've never been the biggest fan of Valentine's day but I am getting better.  It may be very cheesy but since 2009 I've gotten to spend each Valentine's day with my best friend.  Seriously though... I tell B everything, he's the one I want to call when I hear some big news, and I want to spend all my time with him.  I love my girl time but he's the one I'd rather go to dinner with or to the movies or just hangout and talk.

So, here's to another day of love with my love and just a few reasons why I love him.
First photo 2009
AKA the short hair saga... Worst decision EVER!

This is how B met me.... Poodle short hair.  I had decided a few months prior to this to cut my waste length hair to above my shoulders.  He fell in love with me anyways, even in the midst of this bad decision! Word of advice the all my naturally curly ladies.... do not choose above the shoulders with layers.

He lets me be me!  He knows I am a complete idiot and embraces it.  He laughs at my corny jokes and just shakes his head and smiles when I say something dumb.  He's a keeper right?

He'll literally lie down in the path of danger for me.  Disclaimer: No one pictured was injured in the taking of this photo.

More than just these little things though, I love that God blessed me with a man who puts God first in his life and loves Him before me.  I know that I am biased but I seriously have the best husband.  There is truly no way for me to put into words the love I have for him.

And I thank God for Krispy Kreme every day!

Happy Valentine's day to the most handsome and amazing hubby!

Miracle Bathroom Makeover

Last week B and I started the process of demolishing our "lovely bathroom and by "lovely" I really mean disturbingly hideous!  Just look for yourself.

Check out that hottie taking down that "lovely" safety rail by my jacuzzi.

I know y'all are thinking that I'm completely crazy for wanting this wallpaper out of my life but this faux cotton candy sponge paint pretty had to go.

We started this project at about 4:00 last Friday and worked all that night till we finished stripping all of that "lovely" wall paper down.  This brilliant idea of starting this project late Friday made for a long week.  The Superbowl was Saturday so putting in long work hours that day was completely out.  We should have though cause the game was HORRIBLE.

We lived liked this (partially) for this last week.

We finally finished painting on Wednesday and today I got the bathroom mostly set up.  I still need to get rugs and hardware for towels and toilet paper but thats minor details.  We chose this slate blue color, Provence, from Behr.

Our monogrammed towels that we got for our wedding our going to look so great with the wall color once I get a towel rod to hang them on.

The bathroom is not perfect yet but it is such a HUGE improvement from the disaster it was before.

I really want to paint the trim and cabinets white.  I think the white would be a great contrast to the blue.  Maybe add some gold accents too.  I'm beyond excited about my new bathroom and am so ready to take a bubble bath!

Confessions of a Dreamer

We all have dreams right?  Well duh!!  Mine however are not always the most conventional dreams or most realistic.  Of course like any little girl I dreamed of becoming a cowgirl, a dental hygienist, a country music singer, Miss Arkansas, and a wife.  (All little girls dream of these things, right?)

Guess what y'all?  I did it all.... Well kind of.  I made it as far as the Miss Arkansas stage twice and my talent was vocal.  I do put on a real mean concert in the shower though.

But all in all I've accomplished all that I've set out to do.  So whats next for a dreamer with no dream?

B and I were talking the other night while watching the outdoor channel (typical of every couple I'm sure) and we started talking about what it would be like to have a hunting show.  One thing led to another and BAM!!!  We have a dream y'all.   Is it crazy? Of course!  Is it a tad far fetched? Duh!  Why not right?

Okay here it goes.

Someday B and I want to host our very own hunting show!!  Yes you heard me right.  Hunting is a passion of both of ours and it's something that we do together and enjoy.  Some of my favorite hunting shows on the outdoor channel are hosted by couples.  So why not us?  Also, many of the shows are hosted by blonde's.  Nothing against blonde's but lets represent the brunettes too.  Do they really have more fun?

We have no plans for our future dream show or even have any notion on how to breakout on our little adventure, but it's so fun to talk and dream about.

Now that y'all think I've completely lost it let me prove I still have some sanity.

I know that this dream may and will most likely never become a reality but dreaming is fun and so important in life.

Hi my name is Molly.  I'm a big dreamer and these are my confessions.
