Well I missed last week... I know I know shame on me.
I'm so excited though to update y'all on my goals for this month and how everything is going.
Here are the goals I set this month.
As I started reading Power of a Praying Wife I realized the first chapter was already going to smack me in the face... real hard.
Ok so I'm being a tad dramatic but the first chapter is titled His Wife.... Yea you guessed it. All of it's focus is on me.
I thought the book was going to be all about him and how to pray for him. For God to change his heart, for God to protect him, for God to inspire him, for God to provide.
To teach me how to build him up.
WRONG.
The first chapter is about changing yourself!
But why do I need to change?
I feel like I'm a good person right?
Well.... Stormie makes the point, and how incredibly right she is, that how can I affectively pray for my husband and expect to see the answers to those prayers if I, myself, am not right in my relationship with Christ.
"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear"
Psalm 66:18
"God wants our hearts to be right so the answers to our prayers are not compromised"
Stormie Omartian
This not only applies to praying for my husband but also in every aspect of my life!!
So.... theres my update y'all.
As twisted and tangled as my original goal has become I truly believe that God is blessing me already!!
Oh and by the way a HUGE answer to a ton of prayers.... Logan has got a job!!!!!
And her LOVES it!!
Praise God for His answers and blessings!!

At the end of the month, we will summarize what was accomplished, the successes we've had and what we could have done better. We would love for you to link up with us and share your posts each week as we strive in different ways to serve our significant other with more intentionality and purpose.
