Happy Halloween.... Dental Hygiene style

Halloween!!!

To celebrate our class chose to dress up today since we weren't in clinic.

I sported my duck hunter wear!!

This was my favorite costume of the day!!

Note my favorite part...

Hair: Yes

Eyes: Two

HAHAHA!!!! Amanda is too funny

We do such a great job paying attention in class

Remember that getting candy is SOO much fun.... trust me I have a major weakness for tootsie rolls (I've eaten 35 today and in just one sitting... SSHHHHH)

But don't forget to clean all the stinky and yummy goodness off your teeth once you get finished.

In Review

I can't believe that a new week is already beginning!!

SERIOUSLY!!! Where did the weekend go?

Thursday evening I left Memphis with four of my best friends to head out to Greenwood MS.

We attended the Mid-South dental hygiene convention on friday and drove back that evening.

ATTENTION!!!!!

At this point strap on your seatbelt because the weekend is about the get busy and FLY by!!!

Saturday morning we woke up at 6:30 to head out to Mid-town for Jesus Loves Memphis.

We worked with a few of the members of our life group at Sea Isle park doing grounds work and maintenance.

We had such an awesome time working and serving the community!!

Saturday evening we had our Life group fall fest!!

So..... after getting home from working I started the crock pot of white chili, we took a quick nap, and got ready to head to Somerville.

Those who know me well know I'm ADDICTED to hair bows/headbands/headpieces

So I improvised one of my old bandanas and a headband/bow

COMPLETELY perfect for any fall festivity!!!!

I tried out the new panoramic setting on my iphone.

It's a little dark but I love it!!

Sunday we went to worship with our church family at Bellevue.

We had a BUSY BUSY weekend but Logan and I had the best time serving the city of Memphis and fellowshipping with our life group and church family!

Prayer is POWERFUL!!!

I've voted..... Have you?

ok..... now don't let me lose you between the title and the opening line!!

I have a point I PROMISE

Remember to constantly pray for our country and it's leaders.

Neither candidate will "fix" this country and all of it's problems..... Only Jesus can do that (and He will).

We are, as Christians, called to pray for our leaders.

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone- for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to know a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men- the testimony given in its proper time.

1 Timothy 2:1-6

What would happen if we prayed as often and fervently for our country and it's leaders, as we talk and complain about each of the candidates and their views?

Prayer is a powerful thing, y'all and should never be underestimated!!!
