I'm FINALLY finding the time to sit down and blog about all of the Christmas festivities. I had a fabulous Christmas at home. It was very important to me to be at my home this year for christmas. I know that after I get married I will have to split my time during the holidays but this year I was selfish! Lol here are some of the gifts I received!!

Merry Christmas

During this time of year its very easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle and commercialism.  I'm a guilty one who will fret over those perfect gift ideas for those that I love.  However, its not about the presents.  I'm also one who is guilty, like many others, of sharing Christ and his word more with others this time of year than during the other seasons.  I never make New Years resolutions but this year that is one of mine.  

I hope that each of you have a very blessed Christmas and will remember, embrace, and share the true meaning for Christmas.

Ho, Ho, Hum....

Well one year for Christmas, let me preface that this is a gift from an ex-boyfriend, ok now I can continue. Ok well, one year for Christmas I received a neck massager.  Doesn't sound that bad? Well he told me that he got it for me so that he wouldn't have to rub my neck anymore!! Yea not very nice! lol

 I have SO many that I LOVE but since I have to choose just one.... My definite go to favorite Christmas movie is without a doubt Eloise at Christmas Time!! If you haven't see then you must!!

Dental Hygiene Party

Hey Y'all!! I hope that everyone is having a VERY Merry Christmas and is soakin' up ALL of the loveliness of family time!!!

Well I am a little behind on this post but still wanted to share because the pictures are just to wonderful!!  Anyways.... a few weeks ago we had our UT dental hygiene Christmas party! The new SADHA (Student American Dental Hygiene Association) members were inducted, I am one of the co-historians for my class, rugs were cut (haha), and we celebrated passing our first semester!!  Here are a few of the FUN photos of the night!! AND I must give a huge shout out and BIG thank you to my fabulous room mate, Taylor, for making us stop every 5 seconds to take a photo and I have to thank B for being our wonderful chauffeur/photographer for the evening!!

We all had such an awesome time and it was much needed after an exhausting and stressful week of finals!! It made it even better that B was able to take off work and spend the entire weekend with me!! Those times are few and far between lately so it was such a treat!!  I sure hope that y'all enjoy the photos as much as I have!!

Crazy Chaos

1. What is the best compliment you've ever received?

I actually have 2!! 

Miss Arkansas 2008 compared me to Jackie Onasis at the 2009 Miss Arkansas Pageant.

An older gentleman walking into the dental clinic with me a few weeks ago told me that I had the most cheerful spirit.  He truly made my day when he told me this!! 

2. SEAT BELT?

Always.

I ALWAYS wear my seat belt and am truly thankful for them after experiencing my wreck in September

Well.... We aren't married yet but we have gotten comfortable farting in front of each other and I'm embarrassed to share that we even rank them on occasion! lol

Probably tootsie rolls!!! I'm addicted! (Being a hygiene student I do not condone this habit!)

Chargrilled Chicken sandwich, with american cheese only, and a sweet tea!!

Christmas Time

Well I am FINALLY home and officially a 1/4 of the way done with dental hygiene school!! (scary thought) I will start back on January 9 and will see my first patient on the 19th!!! (even scarier thought)  I couldn't be any more excited though!!!

It is finally starting to feel like Christmas now!! I decorated my apartment to help my festive mood but being home with my family makes all the difference in the world!! There's truly nowhere like home at Christmas time!!

I didn't really make a Christmas list this year but here are a few hopeful items! lol

As much as I like to get gifts I LOVE giving them!! It's so hard for me to keep secrets and out of fear that some of my family may read this post I will not be sharing (yet) the gifts that I got for my family.

I'm really not sure who is more happy that I'm home... Me or my mom!! I'm so incredibly excited to have this month off to spend with my family and so that my mom can set the table for four again!! lol
I hope that all of you have a wonderful holiday season with family and friends and above all remember and embrace the true reason that we celebrate this time of year!!

To God be ALL the glory and praise!!!

Wedding Wednesday

Here they are!!!! FINALLY I'm putting up a sneak peak of some of the photos from mine and Logan's engagement session! Also the photos help to reveal the (kind of) theme that our wedding is based on!! I hope that you LOVE them just as much as I do!

Well... Can you guess? Yes it is a vintage theme!!!!!  What makes the vintage photos so special, to me, is that all of the props that were used are family heirlooms.  The dress was the dress that my Nina got married in, the hat was one of my Nina's, the jewelry was also my Nina's, the quilt was made by my great great grandmother (Ma's magic quilt), and the suitcases belonged to my grandparents.  Also featured in some of the other vintage photos was a silver tea set that was given to me when I was little, my daddy's vintage guitar, an antique couch, and antique trunk, and my mom's wedding dress!!!  

We had such a great time shooting these photos and they truly turned out better than I imagined!! It was so funny, we would be in the middle of shooting pictures and Logan would turn to me and say "this is so fun!!!" I think he enjoyed the day just as much as I did and would probably volunteer to be a model at the drop of a hat!! lol

Opening Weekend

Last weekend as many of you hunters may know was opening weekend of the modern gun season.  I hunted my first full bow season this year and unfortunately came up empty but did have the opportunity to take a 20 yard shot at an 8 point.  I did have some luck during a doe population control hunt.  However, this last weekend was one of the best we've had in years!! My daddy shot a 9 point at 8:02 and 15 minutes later his baby girl killed her first buck, a 7 pt!!!!  Mine, of course, pales in comparison to my dad's but his is an amazing deer!!!
