Project one!!!
I FINALLY have some time for senseless projects instead of school work!!
I decided to start with a little beauty I found here on Pinterest.
I decided to add the chevron background to add to it.
I first graphed my canvas to make sure that my chevron pattern came out even.
I decided to make each box two inches
Next I sketched in my chevron pattern by drawing a diagonal line across each box.
Then I taped off the pattern.
After taping I turned the canvas over and added some weight to reinforce the tape.
This helped to keep the paint from bleeding underneath the edges of the tape.
After an hour or so I painted two coats of back paint
After painting I found the silhouette I wanted, blew it up on my computer, printed, and then pieced him together.
Lastly, I placed it on the canvas, traced the big guy out, glued (spread the glue with a q-tip), and then glittered!!!
I was SOOO pleased with how it turned out!! I was making this just for the intentions of it being a Christmas decoration but I'm becoming very tempted to leave him up ALL year!!!
I hope y'all have a FANTABULOUS Tuesday!!
